Biff and Chip went to stay with Gran.
They went to stay for a week.
Gran's house was small.
Biff and Chip slept in the same bedroom.
Gran took Biff and Chip for a walk,
They went to the woods.
They picked some blackberrics.
Gran made lots of the blackberry jam.
The children loved Gran's house,
It was small.
It was old too.
But it was cozy.
It had a big fireplace.
Biff helped Gran light the fire.
Chip helped Gran get some logs.
"Do you have ghosts?"he asked.
Gran laughed.
"There are no such things,"she said 。
They sat by the fire.
Gran made some toast.
Biff wanted to try the new jam.
Chip had a new game that called Haunted House.
It was time for bed.
“Is this house haunted?"asked Biff
Don't worry." laughed Gran.
"I don't have ghosts in my house.
There are no such things."
Gran said it again.
Do you think there are ghosts?

Biff and Chip couldn't sleep.
Biff had an idea.
She wanted to play a joke on Chip.
She had a torch in the bed

Why couldn't Biff and Chip sleep?
She was so excited.
It was the first night in Gran's house.

Biff put the sheet over her head.
She switched on the torch.
The sheet glowed.
Woooooo!
I am a ghost,"said Biff.
Biff 用床单蒙住头，
开亮手电筒。
床单发出亮光
“鸣鸣! 我是鬼， ” Biff 说。
Chip was startled.
Oh, what's up!

Did Chip be frightened?
No, he didn't.
Chip laughed.
He wasn't frightened.
He pulled the sheet off Biff.
"That was a good joke,"he said.

Biff and Chip heard a noise.
It came from outside.
"Whoooo!Whoooo!"went the noise.
"Oh no!"said Biff."It's a ghost"

“鸣鸣!鸣鸣!” 声音鸣咽着。
“哦，不!” Biff 说， “是鬼。 ”

"It's not a ghost!"he laughed
"It's an owl. Come and look."
Chip 看了看窗外。 “

“是猫头鹰。过来看啊。 ”

Biff and Chip looked outside.
"Oh no!"said Chip "I can see a ghost. It is a ghost this time."
