1.COVER LETTER 怎么写从广义上来说，cover letter是指在正式文件之前的一封简短的说明信。例如你要通过传真发一份文件在该文件的最前面要附一cover letter，说明你要发的文件等等简短的几句话即可。
它不是仅仅局限在求职信中，它的应用范围很广。不过一般我们说到cover letter，总是和求职有些关系。
在求职中，cover letter就是你给应聘单位发简历时，一封标有招聘公司/招聘人/地址等抬头的信，内容是从哪儿得到招聘信息，自己最大的优势所在，对招聘职位的适合程度，对招聘人的感谢等。cover letter其实和resume一样重要，因为有些老板只看cover letter，没兴趣就把package一并丢到垃圾桶里。
所以，这个意义上的cover letter，就是通常所说的“求职信”，“自荐信” 。
那么cover letter 具体该怎么写呢？
COVER LETTER主要覆盖以下三个问题：
Who are you and where are you?
Where did you hear about me?
What can you do for me? What can you provide relevant to the job?
一般你可以通过INTERNET或其它途径（newspapers and magazines, word -of-mouth or the public library. ）查到公司的有关背景。你可以略为写一点，使雇主知道你不是随意发出简历的。简历按道理不应该是通用的，但许多时候人们不愿意花更多的时间去准备简历，有时候版本太多搞得人无从适应。所以其实很多人总是用一份简历来应付众多公司。但是，无论如何，COVER LETTER是不应该写成通用的，一定要瞄准申请的公司来写。
信上也可以写上你最方便的电话号码和拨打时间。一定要再三检查雇主的姓名和地址。COVER LETTER不能有任何拼写错误和语法错误。错了你就惨了。
